Publication scheme

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) requires Scottish public authorities to produce and maintain a publication scheme. Authorities are under a legal obligation to

  • publish the classes of information that they make routinely available.
  • tell the public how to access the information and what it might cost.
This publication scheme has been produced by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) using the Model Publication Scheme 2011, approved by the Scottish Information Commissioner until 31 May 2016.

This scheme commits us to:
  • publishing the information, including environmental information, that we hold and which falls within the classes of information.
  • producing a guide for the public to that information.
